Our community service activities respond to the needs of the local and national community.
Club members and supporters:
- Work with and support local Rotary activities
- Participate in local service activities to assist those in need
- Support young people
- Support other organisations to achieve worthwhile goals
- Conduct fundraising activities to support beneficiary charities
- Recognise worthy citizens
- Offer support to those in need

Supporting Rotary initiatives
We work with other Rotary organisation to assist others including:
- Rotary Oceania Medical Aid for Children (ROMAC) - to provides surgical treatment for children from Pacific countries in Canberra ans supporting them and their carers in Australia
- Australian Rotary Health - including support for mental health research and Indigenous Health Scholarship program
- Rotary Australia World Community Service (RAWCS) - assisting disadvantaged communities and individuals through humanitarian aid
- Shelter Box Australia - to provide emergency shelter and aid to families affected by natural disaster and conflict (locally and internationally)

Supporting others
Club activities supporting others including:
- My Home in Canberra - supporting development of supportive accommodation (in Curtin) for people with an enduring mental illnesses
- Sailability ACT - a supportive environment assisting people of all-abilities to sail and experience ‘freedom on the water’
- Cycling Without Age - a community service for those no longer able to ride by giving them rides on a tri-shaw bike
- Young people - with programs, activities, international exchange and awards

Beneficiary charities
Some other charities we support are:
- Early Morning Centre - a safe, respectful and welcoming space, addressing issues of homelessness
- Ruby’s Place - providing vulnerable youth with a dedicated home environment while working with the parents to reunite the family
- Salvation Army - to provide a large array of spiritual and social services
- Local women's shelters - equipment and with supplies
- Assisting local people in need
- And many more

Looking to make a difference
We are always looking for people to join us as members, supporters, or as volunteers (in general or for specific events).
If you are looking to make a difference then we can offer a way to do that.
You don’t need to be a Rotarian to be involved in service to the community through Rotary.

Request assistance
We receive many requests for assistance from the local, national and international people, organisations and communities.
Resources (financial and physical) may be available, at the discretion of the membership, to assist worthwhile organisations or individuals in addition to those we regularly support.
We prefer to assist:
- Recognised charitable or service organisations
- Those who assist themselves
