Cherry Fundraising 2023 another success

The 2022 Cherry Fundraising was successful with 89 boxes of cherries ordered and delivered: 48 x 2 kg and 41 x 5 kg

Another successful event with 89 boxes of cherries ordered: 48 x 2 kg and 41 x 5 kg.

The Rons cherries were picked and packed on the Friday and then collected from Young by our President on the Saturday (10th December) morning and delivered to the two distribution locations in Reid and Curtin.

Those who ordered cherries collected them from the distribution locations the same afternoon between 2 and 4 pm.

We received many compliments of the high standard of the freshly picked cherries.

Thanks go to all involved in marketing the cherry fundraising to friends and others, managing the orders, collecting the cherries from Young, and distributing them.

It is intended that it will be on again next year - December 2023.

Murrumbidgee Canberra Rotary supports students studying in health fields through the Australian Rotary Health Indigenous Health Scholarships, Rural Medical Scholarships, and Rural Nursing Scholarships.

Currently we are supporting an indigenous lady studying to become a physicist who is looking to work with disadvantaged people particularly those caught up in the justice system.
